Since 1994, Operation School Bell, Assistance League’s nationally acclaimed philanthropic program, has provided clothing to local elementary schoolchildren to improve attendance, campus citizenship and academic performance. In 2018-2019 alone, Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s Operation School Bell served 6,000 elementary schoolchildren in our community.
Since 2006, Assistance League of Diablo Valley has enjoyed a Corporate Partnerships component, where employee volunteers from local businesses and corporations become hands-on involved with several philanthropic programs.
Fehr & Peers “personal shoppers” consulted an individualized shopping list based on the student’s age, gender, height and weight, as well as clothing and color preference. Bottom Line: 35 school students will soon return to the classroom knowing that they “fit in.”
