Members of Metro Columbus chapter baked cookies, brownies, cupcakes, all kinds of breads, and even made fudge to sell at the Columbus, Ohio, Local Roots restaurant Aug. 24, 2023. Although the temperature was in the high 80s, several members took turns selling the baked goods to patrons as they entered or left the restaurant. Nothing was priced; only donations were accepted, resulting in $634 for the chapter treasury. The sale was so successful that they had to close down an hour ahead of time because everything had sold.
