Charlotte – Presents National Operation School Bell Award to Jeff Swartz

Jeff Swartz, Community Business Development Manager for Morrison Place Barnes & Noble in Charlotte, received the National Operation School Bell^® Award from Assistance League of Charlotte at the chapter’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon on May 17, 2017. Jeff has been a supporter of the chapter’s Operation School Bell program for over 10 years. Several years ago the store started holding an annual book drive during the weeks between Thanksgiving and the New Year collecting over a thousand new books for Operation School Bell. In addition, the store has also, on multiple occasions, donated several hundred out-of-stock books for the program. Literacy is an important component of the chapter’s mission and the thousands of books that Jeff and the store have placed in the hands of children in the Charlotte community have greatly impacted that mission.
