Operation Wish List (OWL), a program of Assistance League of Austin, selects a school in need of community support each year and purchases items requested by the staff of the elementary school to enhance student learning and success. This year, the Assistance League of Austin is dedicating more than $50,000 to Manor ISD Presidential Meadows Elementary School on behalf of our OWL program. OWL additionally supports a middle school that is a feeder school for the selected elementary school, a pre-K program and a summer reading program.
On February 9th Assistance League of Austin had our “Reveal Day” at Presidential Meadows where we delivered a wealth of educational and instructional materials to the staff. Some fifth-grade boys helped make the surprise deliveries to classrooms. Students and staff were excited and thrilled to have many of their “Wishes” granted by the Assistance League of Austin.
