We are so grateful for the $25,000 our grants committee received from the Kendra Scott Foundation. Specifically intended for our Outreach Program to assist in resettling refugees from Ukraine, the grant enabled these families to shop for furniture, household goods, and clothing through ALA‘s Thrift House.
Outreach also used its funding to purchase additional items from retail stores providing these families with everything they need to make their new surroundings feel like home. The ALA Operation School Bell program assisted by providing new clothes and shoes to the school-age children. We are proud of the impact that our teamwork and coordination can achieve for the community.
