Operation School Bell® in House
Operation School Bell provides new clothing, shoe vouchers and hygiene kits to students in the Bakersfield/Kern County area who wear uniforms. Students are referred to Assistance League by the school districts.
Operation School Bell provides new clothing, shoe vouchers and hygiene kits to students in the Bakersfield/Kern County area who wear uniforms. Students are referred to Assistance League by the school districts.
Operation Hugs provides teddy bears for traumatized children. These teddy bears are distributed to California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield Fire Department, Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial, and San Joaquin Hospitals, who in turn give them to children in stressful situations.
This program is for students who do not wear uniforms. This program began in August 2015 in cooperation with Target Stores. It is an alternative way to dress students in regular clothing.
The Assistance League of Bakersfield Scholarship Program, Operation Scholarship, is funded by designated and undesignated memorial funds. Scholarships are awarded to provide funds to help cover college costs for tuition, books and supplies for graduating high school seniors.
