Assistance League of the Bay Area will host Sesame Workshop and its Hugs for Houston tour.  Sesame Workshop is the New York-based non-profit educational organization behind Sesame Street.   It will bring well-known characters Elmo and Grover to four local schools hard hit by Hurricane Harvey. These characters will be brought to life by Sesame Workshop staff and will allow children to hug them and be hugged back.

In addition, the Sesame Street in Communities team will present multimedia resources and real-life strategies from www.SesameStreetInCommunities.org. This hour-long training is designed for providers working to help kids and families cope and connect as they create a new normal and strengthen their sense of hope for the future.
