It was a real treat to provide the opportunity for students from HIGHER Up Texas to visit the chapter’s award-winning Resale Shop in early September.
Volunteers assisted the students in selecting professional clothing for potential interviews when they seek part-time job opportunities.
In its inaugural year, 30 high school students from Dickinson ISD participate in this initiative. The mission of HIGHER Up Texas is to empower communities through youth who are desiring more for their futures.
HIGHER Up’s Executive Director Hillary Gramm shared, “Our students had a great time and enjoyed interacting with Assistance League® of the Bay Area members. We went on a field trip soon after the visit, and our students looked dapper in their new-to-them clothes!”
The chapter was thrilled to be a part of their experience.
