A group of seven 5th grade female students, Girl Empowerment Matters (GEMs) at Weber Elementary School in Clear Creek ISD, hosted a ‘Socktober Drive’ in October.
As a result of its success, Assistance League® of the Bay Area recently received four boxes of socks.
The chapter was chosen by the group to show their appreciation for the results of our largest philanthropic program, Operation School Bell®.
The intent of the donation is for us to distribute the socks to those in need.
Those receiving the socks were Lililee Johnson, Betty Walcott, and Atiya Abouleish from Assistant Principal, Nuri Gonzalez.
