According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), there are 6.5 million companion animals who enter shelters each year. Approximately 3.2 million shelter animals are adopted each year.

Assisteens^® of the Bay Area help those who adopt small and large dogs as well as cats at the League City Animal Care shelter by supplying kits filled with items to aid with the transition to their new home.

Through the Cause for Paws philanthropic program, these kits are assembled each month and then delivered to the shelter.
