Assisteens of the Bay Area Provide 228 Fleece Blankets to Area Shelters

Assisteens® create warm and comforting fleece blankets to provide to the youngest residents of the Bay Area Turning Point and The Bridge Over Troubled Waters shelters when they initially arrive, often without time to bring a treasured possession.

Teens have individually made these blankets, but once a month, during the designated philanthropy day, through their philanthropic program, Project Snuggle, it becomes a collective effort.

Two hundred twenty-eight (228) fleece blankets were created from June 2023 through May 2024.

Thank you to Roxann Zamora, our adult liaison, and Lauren Bailey and Claire Collura, our teen liaisons, for your leadership this year!
