Assisteens® of the Bay Area support the chapter in various ways.
One ongoing initiative is Snack Attack Packs, a collaborative effort that packages items for students facing food insecurity in three school districts and distributes them throughout the year.
Assisteens participate in assembling these items, but this year, they have increased their involvement by preparing the packaging—labeling the sacks, and counting the appropriate number of napkins and spoons for each school district.
At a recent summer philanthropy day at Saint Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, twenty-four members, divided into three groups, efficiently prepared the items for the upcoming August assembly.
