Assault Survivor Kits Assembled and Delivered to The Bridge Over Troubled Waters

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, members of Assistance League® of the Bay Area delivered Assault Survivor Kits® to The Bridge Over Troubled Waters. The committee initially gathered at Clear Creek ISD’s Learner Support Center, where the chapter’s philanthropy room is located, and assembled the kits. Afterward, many members traveled to the shelter, where they had the opportunity to visit with personnel, learn about the facility and its residents, reflect on the traumatic circumstances they experienced, and celebrate their efforts to survive.

These kits are the result of partnerships with hospitals, police stations, and shelters. They contain essential items for individuals to use after an attack, as their original clothing is kept for evidence.

This collaborative effort allows us to offer crucial support to survivors during a vulnerable and challenging time.
