In March 2017, the Clear Lake/Bayport Council of the Albemarle Foundation designated Assistance League of the Bay Area as a member agency.
In addition to regular financial support through this designation, the foundation matched funds raised at the Ball of the Wild gala held in April during the Reach for the Stars portion of the event.
That commitment of $10,000 brought the total amount gifted to $17,000, the largest grant awarded to the chapter for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
