Assistance League^® of the Bay Area recently expanded its philanthropic program, Assault Survivor Kits^®, to include a partnership with UTMB Health in Galveston.

The kits include scrubs, underwear, and sports bras provided to women who enter the hospital for treatment as a result of sexual assault or domestic violence. Personal belongings are retained as evidence and the items in the kits allow the women to leave the facility with dignity.

Eighty kits were assembled by the committee prior to a planned delivery on Friday, February 16. This will provide a six month supply to the hospital.
