Gail Ashby, Assault Survivor Kits^® Chairman 2018-2019, and Sarah Foulds, chapter President 2018-2019, were invited to speak at the Crime Area Houston Texas, USA Victim Liaisons Committee April meeting.

Attending this event, hosted by the La Porte Police Department , were Crime Victim Liaisons from the Deer Park, Friendswood and Missouri City Police Departments, and representatives from the Harris County Victims Services Department and the Harris County Corrections Department.

The event allowed our chapter to provide vital information to the attendees about the Assault Survivor Kits philanthropic program. Currently, Assistance League of the Bay Area has partnerships with Bay Area Turning Point, the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner), and the Friendswood and League City Police Departments. A new partnership with the La Porte Police Department is in the process of being finalized.
