In the fall of 2020, Operation School Bell^® was the recipient of 150 dresses made by a group at LaPorte United Methodist Church.

Through the chapter’s largest philanthropic program, these dresses were to be distributed to homeless students. Over 50 dresses were distributed in the fall of 2020.

The remaining inventory was taken to The Children’s Place to gift the young female residents with dresses. Each resident was allowed to select two dresses. They were provided a hygiene kit and given the opportunity to select as many books as they wanted.

Over 120 books were placed in the hands of the students and 30 hygiene kits were distributed. While the dresses were popular, the books were the big hit of the day.
