Ann Hammond, one of three 2024 Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, was honored Wednesday evening, April 17th, at the Texas Governor’s Mansion.
Presented by the OneStar Foundation, Ann was congratulated by First Lady Cecilia Abbott and presented her award and a proclamation.
OneStar’s President shared the following with the audience about Ann Hammond’s years of service to our community.
Ann, a tireless advocate, has dedicated over 35 years to supporting the Clear Creek Independent School District. As a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Bay Area Alliance for Youth and Families, she orchestrates impactful initiatives that benefit the community.
Since 2003, Ann’s unwavering commitment extends to Bay Area Turning Point, where she provides crucial support to families affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Her compassion and dedication make a difference in the lives of those seeking refuge and healing.
As a committee member of Communities In Schools – Bay Area since 2008, Ann spearheads the annual Keep Kids in School Golf Tournament. This event raises essential funding to support student support personnel across CCISD campuses, ensuring a nurturing educational environment.
Additionally, Ann plays a pivotal role as the Project Graduation Chair for Clear View High School. Her efforts create memorable and safe environments for graduating seniors, celebrating their achievements and bright futures.
Ann’s legacy extends beyond her advocacy work. With over 30 years as an active PTA member and officer, she has received national recognition for her outstanding contributions. Her impact resonates throughout the community, inspiring others to follow her lead.
