Karen Griffith-Hedberg is our Ada Laughlin award recipient. The Ada Laughlin award is named after the cofounder of Assistance League. It honors and recognizes an outstanding chapter member who has contributed significantly while remaining behind the scenes.

Karen provided quiet, dedicated, reliable service to our chapter. She embodied being inconspicuous as she worked behind the scenes in the thrift shop, chairing programs, and sharing her vast knowledge on other committees teaching classes. Karen is an even-keeled person who is able to see both sides of an issue and keep her eye on the positive. Everyone who was approached regarding this award agreed that Karen had earned it.

We know Karen will continue to quietly enrich the lives of those she comes in contact with, maybe even at the Assistance League chapter in the area she moved to recently.
