Assistance League of Bellingham is sad to announce that their Thrift & Gift Shop was broken into between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Thieves used a sledgehammer to break into a storage room where they stole items being held for online sale which included sterling silver, Disneyana, pewter spoons, waterford crystal, silverplate, vintage knives and vintage token sets. Also, they stole a tray of gold jewelry items.

If members of the public have any information that could help Bellingham police identify the culprits, please share that with the police.

Assistance League of Bellingham would like to reassure the Whatcom community that the thieves were unsuccessful in preventing us from fulfilling our programs such as Operation School Bell.  We will be able to complete its planned distributions for this fiscal year.
