Sue Oram, Joani Carrington and Nanci Zander (above photo) present Judy Mork with the ABCD Award
In presenting this award at our April membership meeting, Joani Carrington, ALB member stated, ” I am honored to have been asked to present the Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award.
It won’t take you long to know who I am talking about. She joined Assistance League of Bellingham in 2014 and by 2015 became the Hardline Manager!
She meets every challenge with a “can do” attitude. As hardline manager, she has taken on many responsibilities; “managing inventory” by deciding what needs to be on sale and reporting that to Wendy for the “hot sheet”. She determines pricing on hardline items and heads up ‘Marvelous Mondays’. She holds monthly department meetings and has developed a well-trained hardline team consisting of happy volunteers. She is knowledgeable and dedicated to the ALB purpose of helping those in need in Whatcom County.
While holding the Hardline Manager position, she has also spent tireless hours as head of several other committees such as Hospitality, Fashion Events, and Yule Boutique.
She schedules and works estate pick ups, making decisions as to what will sell in the shop. She sorts, cleans and prices items, to be put on the floor. I am so lucky to have her work on the furniture team!
She not only works in the back area of the shop. She is a Day Manager who is willing to wrap items sold, help in jewelry, or whatever needs to be done. All with a smile. Wouldn’t it be great if we could clone her?
Let’s show how much we love and appreciate this year’s ABCD award winner…Judy Mork.”
