One of the many reasons we have to be thankful at Assistance League of Bellingham is for our amazing Community Volunteers! These are non-members who help us out with their valuable time and expertise.
One such volunteer is Lisa Schessler, of Bea Hamster Sews, who is a licensed and certified sewing machine repair specialist. Lisa assesses our donated sewing machines and gives them a ‘light’ cleaning and oiling. She then writes up the descriptions that we attach to the machines, and helps us decide a fair price. When all that is done, she drops off the sewing machines at the ALB Thrift & Gift Shop.
