Assistance League of Bend is exploring the idea of adding Comfort Shawls for cancer patients and possibly seniors to their Hats, Hats, Hats program.  St. Charles is eager to offer the shawls to their cancer patients.  Members are creating sample polar fleece shawls to be distributed to local infusion centers on a trial basis.  In order to make this project financially viable we will need donations of fleece.  Each shawl takes 1 1/4 yds. of fleece.  If you have fleece to donate, know of someone who might be interested in making a donation or want to get involved in this exciting project, email philanthropy@assistanceleaguebend.org.
