This fall, Assistance League of Bend provided new clothing to 1,725 children in need through Operation School Bell^®.. In addition, we distributed 264 new books to underserved students. To support adults, we provided hygiene items to low-income seniors in 17 local long-term care facilities and comforted brave women battling cancer by providing them with handcrafted hats, “knitted knockers”, and shawls during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
