With our major fundraiser now behind us, our dedicated member volunteers are turning their focus to our highly anticipated Operation School Bell® shopping events, which kick off in October. This year, we have set an ambitious goal: to provide new back-to-school clothing for 3,000 children living below the Federal Poverty Threshold. By offering clothing that boosts self-esteem and encourages students to stay in school, we aim to positively impact the lives of local children facing hardship.

In addition to our fall shopping campaign, we have also been actively promoting literacy at the Tower Theatre’s Free Family Movie Night and through the Giving Plate’s Kids Korner, where we provide free books to underserved children. Additionally, our Cinderella’s Closet will be open to students looking to borrow formal dresses, shoes, and accessories. ensuring that every student has the opportunity to shine at their homecoming event, regardless of their financial situation. We are also gearing up for the 25th Annual Heaven Can Wait event where we will be distributing hundreds of free handmade items to cancer patients and survivors, providing hope and comfort.
