Assistance League of Bend’s Operation School Bell® Literacy team has been busy this summer distributing new books to local children in need. They could be spotted offering free books at the Back-to-School celebration hosted by Westside Church, at La Pine’s Music in the Pines community event, and at The Giving Plate. Children from the community eagerly picked out their favorite books, sparking joy and excitement for reading. A representative from the Giving Plate shared, “A huge thank you to Assistance League of Bend for your dedication to fostering a love for reading and enriching young minds. Your efforts truly make a lasting impact!”
