North Coast – Participates on Chapters for Children Event

Assistance League of North Coast was one of seven Assistance League Chapters from San Diego County and neighboring Orange, and Riverside Counties to join together for the annual Chapters for Children event, which provides back to school clothing to school age children of Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton and is part of the nonprofit’s Operation School Bell^® program. Each Chapter provided different items, ranging from socks and sweatshirts to jeans and underwear or gift cards. This year instead of children walking with their parents into a room at Camp Pendleton to choose new school clothes, parents drove past booths and volunteers placed clothing and school supplies in their trunks. Karen Quimby and Susie Sherry organized 20 ALNC volunteers and served 300 children at Camp Pendleton. Pictured are volunteers at Camp Pendleton.
