Three members of the El Dorado County Office of Education recently accepted the National Operation School Bell® Award from Assistance League of the Sierra Foothills. The event took place on May 17, 2017, at the chapter’s Luncheon and Installation of their incoming Board. Since 2008 the chapter has received assistance in building their program from the Office of Education . The Foster Youth coordinator provided the number of homeless children in each school and the Operation School Bell committee organized shopping events for those students along with students designated by school personnel as in need of school clothes. The chapter believes that they would not have an effective program without the continuous support from the El Dorado County Office of Education directed by Dr. Manansala, Superintendent of Schools.
