Fred Meyer and its employees at Beaverton Town Center and Tualatin Valley Highway stores work alongside Assistance League of Greater Portland members at the chapter’s shopping nights for qualified teenagers from low income families. Fred Meyer has supported Operation School Bell shopping nights with generous donations and additional discounts on nights when markdowns are at their lowest to make the teens’ clothing allowances stretch further. The Operation School Bell Award was presented to Jennifer Marshall-Painter, Fred Meyer’s representative, at the chapter’s gala on April 9, 2016.
