The Costume Bank has extended its hours for the Halloween season. Seasonal hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends through Nov. 1.
The store carries thousands of costumes for rent, including historical, western, pirates, military, vampires, witches, ghosts, movie characters and more.
A range of accessories is available for purchase – masks, wigs, hats, gloves, jewelry and makeup. Volunteers at the Costume Bank can help visitors put together costumes for Halloween or other events.
The nonprofit Assistance League of Los Altos owns and operates the Costume Bank. More than 95 percent of proceeds support a host of programs, including HOME Apartments, located adjacent to Stanford Hospital, which offer low-cost, furnished apartments for patients and their families, and Baby Bundles, which provides new and gently used clothing, toys, equipment, diapers and wipes to underserved families in Santa Clara County.
The Costume Bank is located at 169 State St., Los Altos
