Operation School Bell® is our main philanthropic project. We fundraisers throughout the year so that we can provide new school clothes for school-aged children in need in Eddy County, New Mexico children. In 2020 member and community volunteers provided clothes to 893 children.
The Assistance League of Carlsbad provides Adult Survival Kits to individuals who are victims of violent assault. These kits consist of warm-ups, underwear, and socks. They are kept at the Child Advocacy Center and passed out by the hospital as needed.
Provides basic new clothes to women in the Carlsbad Mental Health Crossroads program and gently used clothing for their pre-school age children.
The Elleanor Harroun Merit Scholarship is a $1,500 per year, four-year college scholarship. The scholarship is presented to a graduating Carlsbad High School senior, who not only has achieved superior grades, but has utilized their private time by volunteering. The scholarship is funded by an endowment at the Carlsbad Foundation.
