Our newest philanthropy, RED or Read Every Day, is now under the umbrella of Operation School Bell.  This project was formerly known as “Make a Difference Day.”

Our goal is to continue to collect books to give to new K-6 teachers throughout Benton County for their classroom libraries.  These books will offer an opportunity for children who have finished their assignments to pick up a good book and enjoy some silent reading.

Thanks to the generosity of our membership as well as a large donation from Grass Roots bookstore of Corvallis, we were able to deliver about 1300 new and gently used books to 39 delighted new teachers last fall.
