Don Graves, Coordinator, Contra Costa County Independent Living Skills Program [ILSP] recently spoke to our member volunteers.  He expressed his gratitude for our contributions to the program’s success with our Senior Year Sponsorships and On My Way programs. ILSP prepares youth aged 16 to 21 in the foster care program for responsible adulthood and independence.  The program offers classes in cooking, managing money, computer training and other life skills.  The ILS Youth Center located in Martinez, includes a library, computer lab, a classroom, a clothes closet,  a shower stocked with hygiene products and towels, and an emergency pantry.
