In 2005, Olympic High School Student and emancipated foster youth Joni Richardson received an Assistance League Diablo Valley (ALDV) scholarship to Contra Costa College. Today, Joni is a Holiday Décor Stylist.

Inspired by ALDV’s ongoing support of our community, Joni approached our chapter with an idea to pay forward the support that she had been given.  She offered to create and donate a holiday scene for our annual TeleCare Holiday Party for our home-bound clients. Clients will enjoy food, gifts, carols, and merriment:  all enhanced by Joni’s creativity and generosity.

Joni’s message to all this holiday season:  “pay it forward,” as it is an opportunity for personal growth.  Let it … enrich your life, acquaint you with your community…and enhance your perspective.”
