Our Second Tyme Around Shoppe located on Downey Avenue in downtown Downey since 1966, is the major continuous fundraising activity of the chapter. It is staffed primarily by volunteer members of Assistance League Downey on a year-round schedule.

Our thrift shop is a thriving business and its income contributes greatly to the annual operating budget.  This is a great place to find missing china pieces, holiday decorations, craft items, kitchen accessories, and much more.

Items of gently-used clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, linens, books, collectibles, small household items, can be made during shop hours, preferably through the back entrance. Our inventory comes in daily, and we get them out as soon as they are inspected and priced. You never know what treasure will come through the door, so visit us often.

Donations of items are accepted, please call 562-869-0232 for further information.  We ask that you not leave items outside our doors when the store is closed. Delivery of items can be made through the back entrance only, we can not accept items through the front. NO furniture can be accepted at this time.

11:30 am– 4:30 pm Tuesday – Friday
10:00 am -2:00 pm – Saturday
Closed Sunday, Monday and most major Holidays
