Assistance League® of El Paso is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action through philanthropic programs in El Paso County since 1967.   Our volunteer members contribute over 25,000 hours annually to the El Paso Community; there are no paid employees.

These community-based philanthropic programs are supported by our Assistance League® chapter which benefit many adults and children.

Assault Survivor Kits®

When victims report sexual assault, their clothing is often retained as evidence.   Each kit contains a set of new clothing and toiletries, showing that someone cares.   Our member volunteers purchase, assemble, and deliver ASK kits to Center Against Sexual & Family Violence who help victims of sexual assault at UMC.  Read more  >>>

Operation School Bell®

Children who attend public school without adequate clothing often suffer from low self-esteem and low performance.  These needy students in grades

K-5 are identified by staff in the nine El Paso County public school district’s elementary schools and provided with a set of new clothing.   Our goal is to increase their self-esteem and encourage regular school attendance.  Read more  >>>

PASO Bear®

PASO (Put A Smile On) Bear® committee purchases and distributes 500 Teddy Bears to emergency service organizations for people in traumatic situations.   The goal is to calm and give comfort when a crisis occurs.  Read more  >>>

We Help Others

WHO (We Help Others) committee assists abused, homeless women and their children at La Posada shelter with monthly packages containing personal care and household items to help these women and children return to a better life than the one they left.  WHO also assists Ronald McDonald House with meals and creates caps, beanies, and blankets for those in need.   Read more  >>>

Assisteens®

Assisteens is an auxiliary for students in grades 7-12.  Members work during the summer to process new clothing for Operation School Bell as it arrives by truck.   During the school year, they work with children at La Posada Home, residents at Simpatico Cielo Vista Assisted Living Center, and various other organizations.  Read more  >>>

Community Volunteers

We enjoy having members of the community as our Guest Dressers in the Operation School Bell program.  Our Guest Dressers are comprised of first responders and community groups.   It is wonderful for the children to know that they are very important members of El Paso.   Your groups can also join us for a tour and a few hours of contributing to one of our programs.
