Since 2007, the operation gift box has provided senior citizens with individual care packages during the holiday season.

This year, the Assistance League and Assisteens collaborated to provide items that were essential to our seniors at Twilight Heaven Senior Center. These items included masks, hand sanitizers, gripped socks, puzzle books, lip balm, sweet treats, various toiletries and more. Our Assisteens were able to use their talents and creativity to include a heartfelt personalized message to the seniors. The boxes were delivered to the Twilight Heaven by the Assistance League members and Assisteens. This program has grown each year with the last year distributing over 100 greatly appreciated boxes to our sheltered seniors. 

The Assistance League hopes this worthwhile project continues to grow in the future. We want our senior community members to know someone is thinking of them during the holidays. We hope this small gesture and personal items found in each box will bring a small measure of happiness to our seniors.
