MISSION STATEMENT
Assistance League volunteers transforming the lives of children and adults through community programs.
VISION STATEMENT
Essential needs are met in our community and families flourish.
ORGANIZATION
Assistance League of Georgetown Area was granted guild status in May 1998 and chapter status in July 2001.
OUR CHAPTER HISTORY
Each Assistance League chapter exists to serve the unique needs of its community. Funds serve local needs, and services are locally designed, organized, and carried out to fit these needs. The national organization supports, trains, and monitors chapters to assure they function to the best standards of nonprofit governance. We are 120 chapters united in purpose and dedicated to making local lives better.
Assistance League of Georgetown Area began as a guild in May 1998 and in July 2001 became the 102nd chartered chapter of National Assistance League. We have over 180 members and five philanthropic programs that touch the lives of children and families in the Georgetown area. Our membership continues to grow, as do the philanthropic programs we fund, and the number of community members we reach each year.
