Welcome Home!
Our newest program, launched in 2019, provides household essentials to families leaving homelessness. We partner with Ascensia, a local community resource that helps individuals find services, resources and safe housing. Laundry baskets are filled with items to help jump start a family in a new home. These individuals have followed Ascencia’s program, worked to perfect their job skills, successfully found a job and can pay first month’s rent. The basket contains items worth around $120, is wrapped nicely and presented with a bow.
Our thrift shop also assists Ascensia clients by providing $50 worth of clothing they can use for job interviews and work.
