Soroptimist International presents the Violet Richardson Award to young women each year between the ages of 14 to 17 who volunteers in the community, sees challenges instead of obstacles and believes in the power of volunteer action.  This award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts. One of our Assisteens®, Kate V., was presented this prestigious award for her work to help those in need in the greater Placer area.
