We are excited to announce that our Chapter was awarded a grant from the Golden 1 Credit Union Community Grant program! We were one of the 28 nonprofits that received grants out of 94 in the Sacramento Valley region that submitted proposals. The grant will allow Assistance League of Greater Placer to purchase new, updated, library and classroom reading books for Auburn Elementary School,  Skyridge Elementary School,  Sheridan Elementary School, and  Cirby Elementary School, with the goal of getting children “hooked” on books. The volunteers in our Tutor Time program are looking forward to using these books to help children improve their reading skills. If children can learn to read, the future is theirs!
