After being introduced by Gayle Gullans, the dedicated Scholarship Chair, at the November Chapter meeting, one of the Assistance League® of Greater Placer scholarship recipients, Brooke Pilcher, on the left, shared her moving and heartfelt story about the life challenges she has faced, emphasizing how the Assistance League scholarship program has made it possible for her to complete her training for a career as a court reporter. She graduated from Maidu High School, a continuation school in Auburn and is currently attending the Charles A. Jones Career and Education Center, an adult school in Sacramento. She will be completing her studies in the Spring of 2020, when she will take the state exam to become a court reporter. We are so proud of Brooke!
