  • The Assistance League of Greater Portland (ALGP) uses its resources to help transform lives in our three-county area, by supporting these 6 major projects: 
    • Operation School Bell® – Provides new clothing to children in need. 
    • Assault Survivor Kits – Working with local hospitals, we provide fresh outfits for victims who leave their clothing as forensic evidence. 
    • Youth Support at Cordero – Volunteers provide emotional encouragement and normalizing social activities for teenage boys in a Janus Youth residential treatment home. 
    • Scholarships in Trades – Provide scholarships to students enrolled in trade programs to develop skills and expertise to earn a livable wage. 
    • PROFITS – Retail training opportunities help transitional high school students who are seeking independent living. 
    • Community Needs Programs – Provide support for people experiencing domestic violence, unhoused people, those at risk, and those in an emergency.

Recurring Gift Program 

Monthly giving is a great way to ensure steady, reliable support for the programs funded by the Assistance League of Greater Portland.  Establishing a recurring gift allows you to divide your annual contribution into convenient, automatic monthly installments. 

Set up a monthly gift today and ensure your consistent impact on the programs funded by ALGP. Using our secure online form enables you to establish a recurring gift with your credit card, debit or by electronic check.  Recurring gifts can be changed or cancelled at any time by emailing to kkp@algpdx.org.

Gifts of Securities 

Outright gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds,and mutual fund shares) or shares held in an account by a broker are popular ways to support the Assistance League of Greater Portland and could offer special tax benefits for donors.

Join the Legacy Circle

Forward looking people like you who admire the mission and charitable programs of the Assistance League of Greater Portland (ALGP) may find it fulfilling to create a legacy that transcends your lifetime and builds a brighter future for the ALGP.
