- The Assistance League of Greater Portland (ALGP) uses its resources to help transform lives in our three-county area, by supporting these 6 major projects:
- Operation School Bell® – Provides new clothing to children in need.
- Assault Survivor Kits – Working with local hospitals, we provide fresh outfits for victims who leave their clothing as forensic evidence.
- Youth Support at Cordero – Volunteers provide emotional encouragement and normalizing social activities for teenage boys in a Janus Youth residential treatment home.
- Scholarships in Trades – Provide scholarships to students enrolled in trade programs to develop skills and expertise to earn a livable wage.
- PROFITS – Retail training opportunities help transitional high school students who are seeking independent living.
- Community Needs Programs – Provide support for people experiencing domestic violence, unhoused people, those at risk, and those in an emergency.
