100 adorable ALGW teddy bears were delivered to Christine Delbridge, Coordinator for Volunteer Services at Novant Health in Brunswick County. The bears will be given to young patients at the hospital at registration, in the emergency room and in pediatrics.
The hospital has named each bear “Al” because of the Assistance League logo on its T-shirt. Hospital volunteers often make knitted or crocheted caps for the bears. Sometimes the bears even wear COVID masks.
Delbridge thanked us for what we do to make children a little less frightened when they come to the hospital.
