Operation School Bell, Assistance League’s flagship philanthropic program, has expanded this year.
Three Pre-K schools have received closets full of student clothing and supplies, plus the Nurses KNAPSacks program is now serving ten high schools. Elementary and Pre-K schools have been notified of our new sneaker program — each school can now order ten pairs of sneakers for its school closet. Additionally, a shopping night in early April is being planned for 30 students from a designated middle school. Assistance League members will help the students shop for appropriate clothing and supplies. When the shopping night is completed, OSB will have served 27 elementary and Pre-K schools, one middle school and ten high schools in the tri-county area.
