The Middle School Shopping Night program received a huge boost in the form of a $7,500 grant from the Landfall Foundation. The award was presented at a special event on November 3.
Because of the grant, the program will be able to run a second round of shopping nights for area middle schools who are served by our Operation School Bell program. Committee chairs are considering adding another six schools with 30 students each.
Middle School Shopping Night, held at Target, pairs students with Assistance League members to shop for school clothing and supplies. Assistance League provides each student with $100 to select what they need. The event has been a huge success on every level.
