Assisteens® Kansas City and sponsors provided a fun Trunk or Treat event for families staying at a local domestic violence shelter. Despite Sunday’s 40 mph winds and occasional sprinkles, the families enjoyed lots of treats and games at every car. What better way to celebrate Halloween than sharing joy with these families!
Assisteens Kansas City is an auxiliary of Assistance League of Kansas City and consists of students grades 7-12 who are dedicated to helping our community. Through their philanthropic work and relationship building, Assisteens develop a sense of community responsibility, self-reliance, personal responsibility, poise, and leadership skills.
