Scholarship

The Scholarship program provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors, non-traditional community college students, and past recipients now in college. Since the program’s inception in 2017, Assistance League of Kansas City has directly awarded $169,000 in scholarship funds. In addition, for the first time in 2024, the Assistance League of Kansas City-administered Jason Merrill Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded $5,000 to a student from Park Hill High School.

In total, $174,000 has been awarded to 104 students to assist with the cost of pursuing a post-secondary degree.

To qualify for a scholarship, students must meet specific requirements and demonstrate financial need. Applications are available each January. The number of scholarships and amount of each varies, contingent upon Assistance League of Kansas City’s annual revenue.
