High School Senior Scholarship Application – 2025

Assistance League of Kansas City® is pleased to offer scholarships to academically promising high school seniors who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipients may use their funds to attend any accredited post-secondary institution starting in summer or fall semester 2025.

Since the Scholarship program’s inception in 2017, Assistance League of Kansas City has awarded 106 students a total of $167,000 in scholarship funds, including the Jason Merrill Memorial Scholarship, first awarded in 2024.

Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to alleviating the consequences of poverty or crisis for children and adults in the greater Kansas City community. We encourage eligible students to take advantage of this scholarship opportunity and apply.

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum 3.0 GPA
Official high school transcript
ACT or SAT score
Two letters of recommendation from an adult, such as a high school teacher, high school counselor, or non-family member
Completed FAFSA form with Student Aid Index (SAI) provided
Evidence of involvement in co-curricular and community activities
