Assistance League of Long Beach is proud to collaborate with our dedicated corporate partners through our Corporate Partners Program, significantly enhancing our signature philanthropic program, Operation School Bell®. To meet the schools’ challenging needs, we invite the business community to join us as Operation School Bell Corporate Partners. These invaluable partners assist in underwriting the purchase costs of school uniforms and supplies for the students most in need in the Long Beach Unified School District. These invaluable partners contribute not only financially but also through hands-on involvement, exemplifying true community spirit. Beyond financial support, corporate teams actively participate in packing uniforms and volunteering their time, ensuring that thousands of local students are well-prepared for a successful school year. This collective effort fosters a supportive environment where every child can thrive, highlighting the profound impact that corporate partnerships have on both Assistance League of Long Beach and the community at large.
Why support Operation School Bell®
There are children in the Long Beach community whose families cannot afford school uniforms, children who miss class because they cannot dress appropriately. For these children, Operation School Bell is the only community program providing the “safety-net” of new school uniforms.
Needs
At an average cost of $80 per student, Assistance League of Long Beach provides elementary school children with a backpack filled with, two complete uniforms (two polos and two bottoms), three pairs of socks and underwear, and a hoodie. High school and middle school students receive a drawstring bag with three polos, two bottoms and a hoodie. High school students also have the option to receive spirit wear. In addition to uniforms, Assistance League of Long Beach strives to provide school supplies and a new book whenever possible.
